The installation, designed for NEUTRA, transforms marble into an expressive language, intertwining perceptions and atmospheres into a monochrome narrative that poetically unveils the material’s depth. It is an invitation to be immersed in the material’s essence, heightened by the emotional resonance of the monochromes that weave connections between them.
Five rooms, five colours, and five sensory worlds that harmonise furniture, surfaces, and light.
The Infinite Bordeaux is a space enveloped in the deep richness of bordeaux, where the vivid hues of Breccia Antica and Calacatta Viola marble meet chenille in the same shade and patterned steel. The Stefano Gallizioli’s seating, coffee tables/statement furnishings, a Draw Studio’s cabinet, and the Migliore+Servetto’s bookcase and lamps are arranged to form a sophisticated and enveloping environment.
The Deep Black is an exploration into the black depths. Sahara Noir and Portoro nero blend in a play of shadows and reflections that define a vast living area. This includes Stefano Gallizioli’s modular sofas, armchairs, and a coffee table, alongside Migliore+Servetto’s lamps, a sideboard, coffee tables, and bookcases, and an atelier oï’s lamp. They create a vibrant and dense atmosphere, where marble delves deep into the darkness.
The Green Woods offers a fluid and natural landscape, where Verde Borgogna quartzite shapes the space. The bathroom furnishings are inspired by tree-like forms rising from the ground. The main feature is the bathtub designed by Monica Armani, along with her monolithic washbasins and imposing oval mirror. A Stefano Gallizioli’s sofa and a Migliore+Servetto’s lamp complete the ensemble, and craft an oasis of balance and serenity.
The Absolute White is an ethereal realm, where Oyster Bianco shapes every element. The Draw Studio’s bed, coffee table, bedside table, and cabinet are complemented by Stefano Gallizioli’s shaved sheepskin seating. atelier oï’s lamps enhance the sense of lightness, creating an almost intangible, suspended atmosphere.
The Earth Brown brings the journey to a close with the enveloping warmth of Bronze Fantasy and Tobacco Brown marble. The slabs’ cut creates a graphic landscape that interacts with Draw Studio’s table and cabinet, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti’s leather and fabric seating, and Migliore+Servetto’s bookcase and floor lamps. The rich tones of marble merge with dark brown leather and pigmented metal accents, evoking an elegant connection to nature.
Light plays a crucial role in shaping each space. Throughout the day, natural light shifts dynamically, filling the environment with warmth. Sharp and dramatic, it emerges through vertical light bands integrated into the windows. Finally, theatrical and precise, through carefully placed individual elements. This measured design shapes the rooms, amplifying the interaction between colour, material, and emotion.
