The project transforms wayfinding into a cornerstone of urban identity: an inclusive and dynamic visual language capable of providing orientation while generating a deep sense of community. Through this intervention, the Studio promotes a new form of hospitality, establishing an open dialogue with a community that is heterogeneous across generations and sensibilities.
The intervention aims to transform the signage system into a true visual punctuation: a polychrome narrative that accompanies residents and visitors, defining an evocative landscape perceptible even from a distance. The studio developed the district’s entire graphic apparatus, from orientation maps to a custom-designed icon set. The chromatic system, which is the result of a targeted study on contrasts, is a cornerstone for wayfinding and a strategic key for multilingual interpretation. Indeed, the use of colors, such as the district’s signature Amethyst Purple, along with Magenta, Light Blue and Yellow, functionally identifies the different residential clusters and services, allowing residents and visitors to navigate the space with ease.
Within this wayfinding system, the Pin stands out as the central element of the pathways. A vertical pole ranging from 3.4 to 5.5 meters in height – available in various shapes and dimensions – encapsulating and reflecting the spirit of the place. At its summit, a light and playful element takes shape: a weather vane that, animated by the breeze, orients and distinguishes the different squares. The symbols within its structure – the hand, the plane tree leaf, or the blackbird – transform the Pint into a subtle bridge between the architecture and the surrounding ecosystem.
