The book features a special selection of 100 drawings realized by the architect Ico Migliore during his work as well as his daily life. All the sketches included are originals and divided into three main categories in relation to their characteristics and purposes: sketches, sceneries and maps. From the evocation of the sketches, up to the ovrall design vision of the map that allows for orientation within a project, all these components are in fact fundamental in the design process. The result is an overview of how the architect conceived the sketch itself both as tool paramount to his work and as a means of exploring the complexity of reality. This book aims also to construct a sort of pathway from the conceptual ideas to the their representation on paper, which is the place where they finally take shape.
