The publication is linked to Ico Migliore’s speech at the “Noroo Intl Color Trend Show 2018” on the 16th of November at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
The book provides an overview on some last projects focusing on two essential colors, identified as the main characters of his design approach: the red and the yellow. The two colors, perceived as a dynamic, expandable spectra, in his vision represent the light design approch, identying two colors in particular, the red and the yellow, as the key colour of his vision:”red and yellow represent the light accompanying my creative process, stating my vision in one single instant suspended between reality and representation. The design stands apart from the ‘sign’ and becomes light narrating the architecture, the space and the action. These two colourshave intense energy and find their inspiration in the full substance of the sun, as well as in the transparency of fire. These two dynamic, extendable spectra are able to materialise the contrasts between presence and absence, light and shadow, the material and the incorporeal.”
