At SaloneSatellite the stand Sistema Design by Politecnico of Milan is a celebration of the great master of Italian design Achille Castiglioni’s passion for anonymous object.
The installation has been designed by Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto (Migliore+Servetto Architects), Castiglioni’s students and assistants at Politecnico, curated by Beppe Finessi and with graphics by Mario Piazza.
Two levels of interpretation defined in the space, where floating objects dialogue with the contents on the background.
A graphic narration made through maps, created by Paolo Ciuccarelli – DensityDesign Research Lab, with texts on the perimetral walls as a background to the two high central cases. Veiled by a slightly screening filter of black tulle, the cases host, in the following of overlaying transparent levels, a selection of anonymous objects, chosen by Beppe Finessi with Giovanna Castiglioni.
The complete collection is in his studio, an incredible place of history and discovery, that has become the headquarter of the foundation of the same name and can still be visited.
