The installation was conceived as a dynamic and three-dimensional representation of the contents of the book “E’ DePadova: un viaggio lungo 50 anni”. It is a sort of story, an installation in sequences built through different blocks which contain images and texts retrived from the volume.
In particular, in order to tell the story of De Padova, a repeatable character was chosen: a prism. A conglomerate of tiles that can be composed to form a long wall, where the dynamism is given by the mirroring effect of the prismatic box and by the light within each element. A sequence of fading images telling the story of De Padova through encounters, products, features and houses appears inside the boxes thanks to a computerized system, in a wave-like motion. The mirror, reflecting the light and adding the images to the space, interacts with the scenery of the store and the products. The dynamism is generated also by the projections of lights ad shadows on the walls, and a wave of information winds within the space, amplifying its perception. It’s a fading vision of stories that appear and disappear.
