LECTURE
/ SHAPES ARE BORING? LIGHT IS FUN?

May 5, 2017

On Tuesday 9th May, Ico Migliore is invited by Hong Kong Design Institute to lecture about exhibition design and new technologies. How is architecture translated into ’storytelling places’ through the new design process? How can the architect extend the design project beyond shapes? As new technologies find their way into interior design, we are supposed to adopt a new approach able to integrate graphics, multimedia tools and light in order to build new scenarios. With this aim in mind, the space becomes a sort of “neue-wunderkammer”, the identity of which is constructed by using a kind of Renaissance perspective that is able to combine both engineering and poetry.

The master lecture entitled “Shapes are boring? Light is fun? Migliore+Servetto’s wunderkammer” takes place 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Hong Kong Design Institute – 3 King Ling Road, Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong.
