A NEW MUSEUM
/ FOR THE CITY OF GENOVA

Moving towards a new concept of cultural spaces, we have defined a “new cultural proximity.” Designing a new museum for the city of Genoa, we imagined an inclusive museum that opens up to the city, promoting intermingling and interchanging with the urban space instead of the original purpose of the collection for preservation. Within this historically valuable building, the Loggia di Banchi, the city of Genoa becomes the cornerstone of the narration, in order to enhance the value and the historic memory of the city, from the culture, history and territory to the know-how of the people who inhabit it.
